Chrystal has been riding for 20 years and training horses and riders for over ten years. She was the captain of the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) Zone 3 Champions, The Kutztown Equestrian Team, for four years. During her show career in the IHSA Chrystal has won more than 15 regional and zone championships and 4 National top tens, including 4th place in Stock Seat Equitation and 5th place in Hunt Seat Equitation. She is currently coaching The Penn State Berks Equestrian Team. This young team is currently leading the region in Hunt Seat standings.

 

Chrystal Coffelt-Wood has coached riders of all levels. Her students have had much success in showing competitions such as Sport Horse National Championships, Pony Finals Top Tens, and top ribbons at the National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA and at Devon. Last year one of Chrystal’s long time students placed 3rd in the USEF/AHA Equitation Medal Finals at the Sport Horse National Championships.

 

Chrystal has also had success in the Dressage ring. In September, one of her students was National Champion in Training Level Dressage. She has many regional, zone and national titles in Hunter Pleasure, Hunt Seat Equitation, Stock Seat Equitation, Reining, and Working Hunters. Chrystal is also the recipient of numerous awards including USEF horse of the year National Championships.
